A globally adopted, systematic approach to monitor home working will allow us all to collectively learn from this unprecedented experiment.
How we do it
Leesman is the world’s leading independent authority on employee workplace experience. In rapid response to the global Covid-19 crisis we have mobilised new tools and are already supporting clients from Beijing to Boston understand the impact of dispersing employees to work from home.
Our home working survey is now here for any home-based employee to complete, this will allow us to broaden the reach of the data we capture. Further tools presently in development will allow us to monitor sentiment drift—measuring whether employee sentiment changes as the situation continues.
We offer no consultancy or advisory services so our only vested interest, is in helping clients make robust data-driven decisions.
We know the questions that need asking and how best to play back the answers so organisations can make better decisions faster.
We’ve amassed the largest employee workplace experience benchmark allowing you to readily compare your data to others.
Those who already regularly work from home who do so for one day or less
Global employees who have no home working experience as part of their present roles
Those who work from home at a point in their working week who have a dedicated work room
Home working survey
For the past decade, Leesman has been at the forefront of measuring how corporate workplaces around the globe support employees. Though conventional working environments have changed under the current circumstances, we feel that employers should be able to gain comprehensive insights into how their employee’s new workplaces are supporting them.
In response to this crisis we have redirected our line of enquiry. Our home working survey has been developed to offer an organisation absolute clarity when it comes to understanding how their dispersed workforce is being affected by working from home.
Global challenges warrant global responses
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the International Facility Management Association are lending their weight and global reach to our industry wide combined response to Covid-19. They, along with a host of leading advisors and service providers are backing our data gathering strategy to arm the industry with insights necessary to be agile in response to this unprecedented challenge.

As the landscape continues to shift so drastically due to the current crisis, the importance of relevant content has become a priority. While we all attempt to make sense of our new realities, this channel will continually be updated with Leesman’s take on the impact of Covid-19.
All surveyed workplaces receive a 0-100 ‘Lmi’ rating, and those achieving a score of 70 or above* on our performance scale are awarded Leesman+ certification. This highly sought-after certification recognises workplaces that deliver an outstanding workplace experience, and these outstanding locations provide us with a rich resource when it comes to assessing the extent that the workplace impacts employee and organisational performance.
